These three cities and their metropolitan areas make up the core of OHMI’s Focus Cities.

This industrial belt swooping around the southwestern shore of the Lake Erie watershed and its primary tributaries have much in common but though border division and economic hardship have each largely focused inward or on their relationship to other areas of their respective states with less common histories and experiences.

However, since it would be antithetical to create a project about dissolving borders and then establish firm borders, we keep an open mind. So don’t be surprised if you see some friendly neighbors making appearances now and again.
